TERROR ATTACK AT THE MANCHESTER ARENA

As a leading Educational and Charitable organisation, Anjumane Al Islah UK is saddened and horrified by reports of yet another terror attack, this time yesterday in the very beautiful city of Manchester.

Our heartfelt condolences and prayers are with the victims and their families. We pray to Allah that He gives good health to those who were injured and grants peace and patience to the victims’ families.

This is and will always be an inexcusable and unjustifiable act, targeting the innocent and young in this indiscriminate manner.

We ask all communities to be extra vigilant, calm and alert over the coming weeks and support our police service with any information that they may have to prevent any further incidents.

As Muslims, we continue to stress the importance of being good, productive British citizens. We remind everyone and ourselves of the verse of the Quran which says, “Whosoever killed a person…it shall be as if he has killed ALL mankind.” -The holy Quran (5:32)

We also understand and appreciate the responsibilities that come with living in a multi-cultural, multi-faith society, to maintain peace and harmony, and to respect the freedoms we are privileged to have.

At times like this, we need to spread a message of solidarity, unity and defiance. There are many positives to be taken from the Muslim community’s contributions in making this country great, and we would like to see the media make more of an effort in providing a truer picture of the Muslims in the UK and Islam in general.

Let’s maintain our bond to keep the communities together and we will grieve this tragic loss together.
